Camping Buddy is an idea that came to our founding member Paul Smith an avid camper on Vancouver Island BC Canada. While camping all over the island by himself he met lots of fellow campers who expressed a need to find other campers to share a campsite/campground with for camaraderie and to help learn the area camping in. 

Because he was only intimate with Vancouver Island he decided to create a platform where other campers with intimate knowledge of various campgrounds, parks etc around the world would be willing to meet new fellow campers and share that knowledge. This social platform was designed for that purpose and to also provide other information and tales of camping experiences.

Thousands of people camp solo every year and have expressed a better way to meet others with the same interests.

Our Purpose

Camping Buddy was created for people who love camping but don’t always want to head out alone. Around the world, thousands of campers travel solo. They visit new areas or explore locations they don’t know well. Camping Buddy brings these people together, helping them meet responsible others who camp the same way they do.

Our goal is simple:
Make camping safer, easier and more enjoyable by connecting campers with the right like minded people.
